Each semester, a new Alpha Sig has the opportunity to be queen for a night: "Cindy Queen" that is! A tradition that has been passed down and adapted through the years, a cinderella queen has been crowned at the annual cinderella ball since the early 1950's.Every semester ASA crowns one of their own for the whole world to see. The chosen cindy queen is truly a smart, beautiful, down to earth woman who shows the most spirit as she goes forth in her sorority years.

The Cindy Queen, as she is now called, passes the honor onto a new sister at the Spring and Winter formals with each passing semester. Instead of a crown, she awards the new cindy queen with a beautiful gold charm.
